Instructions

Marinate the Beef

  • In a medium bowl, combine the soy sauce, cornstarch, sesame oil, and garlic powder. Toss in the thinly sliced beef to coat well. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.

Make the Sauce

  • In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, rice vinegar, honey (or brown sugar), and cornstarch until smooth. Set aside.

Stir-Fry the Ingredients

  • Heat vegetable oil in a large pan or wok over medium-high heat. Add marinated beef and cook for 2-3 minutes until browned. Remove and set aside.
  • In the same pan, add sliced mushrooms and cook for about 3 minutes. Add minced garlic, grated ginger, and red pepper flakes; stir for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  • Add snow peas and cook for another 2 minutes until tender-crisp.

Combine & Finish

  • Return the cooked beef to the pan and pour in the prepared sauce. Stir well and let it bubble for 1-2 minutes until thickened.

Serve & Enjoy!

  • Serve the dish hot over steamed jasmine rice or noodles.

Notes

For a deeper flavor, marinate the beef longer (up to an hour). Use low-sodium soy sauce for a healthier option. Add more red pepper flakes for extra heat.
