For Serving

  • 4 pieces sesame seed hamburger buns Soft and flavorful.
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce For a refreshing crunch.

  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise Adds creaminess to the sauce.

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat along with the finely chopped onion, breaking up the meat into smaller pieces.
  • Once cooked through, drain any excess fat.

Sauce Preparation

  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise, white vinegar, sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  • Pour the sauce over the cooked beef and onions in the skillet. Stir well to coat the meat.

Combining Ingredients

  • Gently fold in the finely chopped dill pickles and let everything cook together for another 2-3 minutes.

Assembly

  • Toast the sesame seed hamburger buns if desired.
  • Spoon the beef mixture onto the bottom half of each bun, top with shredded lettuce, a handful of cheese, and extra pickles if desired.
  • Cap with the top half of each bun and serve warm.

Notes

Make it spicy by adding chopped jalapeƱos or red pepper flakes. You can also use whole wheat buns for a healthier option.
