  • 1 tbsp honey (for the topping) Adds sweetness on top.

Instructions

Oven Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Brush the cut sides of the halved pears with melted butter and a touch of honey. Place them cut-side up on a baking sheet.
  • Roast the pears in the preheated oven for 20 minutes until golden and tender.

Cheese Filling Preparation

  • While the pears are roasting, combine blue cheese, softened cream cheese, honey, and black pepper in a mixing bowl. Mix until smooth and creamy.

Walnut Toasting

  • Toast the chopped walnuts in a dry pan over medium heat for about 2 minutes, stirring constantly to prevent burning.

Assembling the Dish

  • Once the pears are roasted, allow them to cool slightly. Spoon the blue cheese mixture generously into each pear half.
  • Top with toasted walnuts and drizzle with balsamic glaze and additional honey.

Garnishing and Serving

  • Garnish with fresh rosemary sprigs. Serve warm as a savory appetizer or unique dessert.

Notes

For added richness, mix goat cheese with blue cheese. Use Bosc or Anjou pears for best results. Cinnamon can enhance the flavor profile.
