Instructions

Preparation

  • Place the chicken breasts at the bottom of the slow cooker.
  • Sprinkle ranch seasoning and au jus mix evenly over the chicken.
  • Lay slices of butter generously on top of the chicken.
  • Surround the chicken with pepperoncini peppers.
  • Pour 1/4 cup of pepperoncini juice over the ingredients.

Cooking

  • Cover the crockpot and set it to cook on LOW for 6-7 hours or HIGH for 4 hours.

Serving

  • Once cooked, check for tenderness; chicken should shred easily.
  • Shred the chicken in the crockpot and mix it with the juices.
  • Serve over mashed potatoes, rice, or in sandwiches.

Notes

For optimal tenderness, use fresh chicken. Consider sautéing the pepperoncini for added flavor. Allow chicken to cool slightly before shredding for best texture.
