Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Cut the pears in half and scoop out the cores. Place the pear halves cut-side up on a baking sheet.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine crumbled blue cheese, toasted walnuts, and honey. Stir until well mixed.

Stuffing and Baking

  • Generously fill each pear half with the cheese mixture, pressing it gently to hold together.
  • Drizzle balsamic vinegar over the stuffed pears and sprinkle with ground black pepper.
  • Bake in the oven for 20–25 minutes, or until the pears are soft and the cheese mixture is slightly bubbling.
  • Once out of the oven, drizzle a little extra honey on top and garnish with fresh thyme sprigs before serving.

Notes

Choose ripe yet firm pears for best results. Consider using goat cheese or pecans for variations. Prepare ahead and bake just before serving for a warm dish.
