Ingredients

For the Burrata Bomb

Instructions

Preparation

  • Combine cherry tomatoes, sugar, apple cider vinegar, red chili flakes, garlic powder, and salt in a saucepan.
  • Cook over low heat for 20–25 minutes, stirring occasionally until the mixture becomes jammy and thick. Set aside to cool slightly.

Freezing the Burrata

  • Pat the burrata dry with paper towels and place it in the freezer for 10–15 minutes.

Coating the Burrata

  • Mix panko breadcrumbs with everything bagel seasoning in a bowl.
  • Roll the chilled burrata in flour, dip it in the beaten egg, and then coat it in the seasoned panko breadcrumbs.
  • Return coated burrata to the freezer for an additional 10 minutes.

Frying the Burrata Bomb

  • Heat 1–2 inches of neutral oil in a small pan over medium heat until it reaches 180°C (350°F).
  • Carefully add the coated burrata to the hot oil, frying for 45–60 seconds until golden and crispy.
  • Transfer fried burrata to paper towels to drain excess oil.

Serving

  • Plate the burrata bomb alongside the warm spicy tomato jam. Serve with toasted sourdough or bagel chips, and garnish with fresh basil or chives if desired.

Notes

Freeze burrata briefly to maintain gooey texture. Adjust red chili flakes to change spice level. Experiment with panko mix for different flavors. Prepare spicy tomato jam ahead of time for enhanced flavors.
