Ingredients

Filling

  • 1.5 cups cooked, shredded chicken Tender bits of chicken that pack a punch of protein and flavor.
  • 0.5 cups marinara sauce A rich, tomato-based sauce that envelops the chicken in a zesty embrace.
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese Creamy, stretchy goodness that pulls apart wonderfully with every bite.
  • 0.25 cups grated parmesan cheese A sharp, nutty cheese that adds depth and enhanced flavor.
  • 0.5 tsp garlic powder Aromatic and savory, this ingredient gives the dish its distinctive taste.
  • 0.5 tsp dried oregano Earthy and slightly sweet, adding an herbal note to balance the richness.

Dough and Topping

  • 1 can pizza dough or biscuit dough Flaky and buttery dough, perfect for creating soft pockets of goodness.
  • 2 tbsp butter, melted Adds a golden sheen and a layer of rich flavor.
  • 1 tsp garlic powder (for brushing) Infuses the bombs with a savory fragrance while baking.
  • 0.5 tsp Italian seasoning A blend that embraces the essence of Italian herbs.
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish) Brightens up the dish with its vibrant color and fresh taste.
  • 0.25 cups grated parmesan (for topping) For an extra layer of indulgence, this adds a delightful crunch to the top.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). While it's heating, line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
  • Prepare the filling: In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked, shredded chicken with the marinara sauce, shredded mozzarella, grated parmesan, garlic powder, and oregano. Mix until all the ingredients are well incorporated.

Assembly

  • Grab a piece of pizza or biscuit dough and flatten it slightly. Place a generous heaping spoonful of the chicken filling in the center. Carefully fold the dough over the filling and pinch the edges firmly to seal.
  • Arrange the bombs seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet. Brush them generously with melted garlic butter, ensuring each bomb is coated. Sprinkle with extra parmesan and Italian seasoning.

Baking

  • Slide the baking sheet into the preheated oven and bake for 15-18 minutes until golden-brown. Remove from the oven and garnish with freshly chopped parsley before serving warm.

Notes

Make sure your ingredients are at room temperature for best results. Keeping an eye on the baking time will achieve a perfectly golden finish. You can experiment with different sauces, such as pesto or alfredo, for a delightful twist.
