Ingredients

For the shrimp mixture

For the ciabatta

  • 1 large ciabatta loaf, sliced lengthwise The perfect vessel for the toppings.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a skillet over medium heat, melt the tablespoon of butter until sizzling but not browned.
  • Add the cooked shrimp and Old Bay seasoning to the pan. Sauté for about 1-2 minutes until heated through.
  • In a separate bowl, combine the sautéed shrimp with mayonnaise, minced garlic, chopped dill, chives, shredded Cheddar Jack cheese, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  • Spread the shrimp mixture generously on both halves of the ciabatta loaf.

Baking

  • Place the ciabatta halves on a baking sheet and bake for 10–13 minutes or until the cheese melts and a golden crust forms.

Serving

  • Slice the ciabatta into sticks or wedges and serve warm.

Notes

For an extra kick, add lemon juice over the shrimp or hot sauce to the mayonnaise. Experiment with different types of cheese.
