Instructions

Preparation

  • Pound the chicken breasts to about 3/4-inch thickness to ensure even cooking.
  • Season both sides generously with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika.
  • Coat each breast in flour, shaking off any excess.
  • For a creamier texture, dip the breasts into ranch dressing if desired.
  • Press the breasts into a mixture of breadcrumbs and Parmesan.

Cooking

  • Heat olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium heat.
  • Sear the chicken for 3-4 minutes on each side until they develop a golden, crispy crust.
  • Remove the skillet from heat and preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Spread a thin layer of ranch or garlic dressing over each piece of chicken, topped with mozzarella and additional Parmesan.
  • Bake for 10-15 minutes until the chicken is cooked through and the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Notes

For an added kick, consider using seasoned breadcrumbs. If you prefer a healthier version, swap out the all-purpose flour for whole wheat flour. A sprinkle of lemon juice can brighten the flavors beautifully.
