  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley Adds brightness
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh rosemary Gives a woody and aromatic flavor
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh thyme Provides an earthy layer
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced Offers robust flavor
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice Balances richness with acidity
  • to taste Salt and black pepper Enhances flavor

Steaks

  • 2 pieces T-bone steaks, about 1 1/2 inches thick For that meaty satisfaction
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil To flavor the steaks perfectly

Instructions

Make the Herb Butter

  • Mix the softened butter with parsley, thyme, rosemary, garlic, lemon juice, salt, and pepper in a mixing bowl. Place the mixture onto a sheet of plastic wrap and shape it into a log. Wrap tightly and chill for about 30 minutes.

Prep the Steaks

  • Season both sides of the T-bone steaks generously with salt and black pepper. Drizzle olive oil over the steaks and rub it into the surface. Let the steaks rest at room temperature for about 30 minutes.

Cook the Steaks

  • Heat your grill or skillet to high heat. Place the steaks on the hot surface and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until they reach desired doneness (aim for 135°F for medium-rare).

Add the Herb Butter

  • Transfer the cooked steaks onto a carving board. Top each steak with a generous slice of the chilled herb butter. Allow them to rest for a few minutes.

Serve

  • Slice the steak against the grain and serve warm with your favorite side dishes.

Notes

Use a meat thermometer for precise cooking and let the steaks rest to keep them juicy. Consider adding crushed red pepper flakes to the herb butter for a spicy kick. For presentation, serve the steaks on a wooden board with fresh herbs.
