  • 500 ml vegetable or chicken broth Provides moisture and flavor.
  • 150 ml heavy cream or coconut cream For a rich, soothing texture.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 200°C (390°F).
  • In an ovenproof skillet or deep baking dish, combine the orzo, minced garlic, chili flakes, oregano, smoked paprika, sun-dried tomatoes, tomato paste, and broth. Stir these ingredients together.

Baking

  • Center the block of feta on top of the orzo mixture. Drizzle with olive oil and cover the dish with foil.
  • Place it in the oven and bake for 25 minutes.
  • Uncover the dish, gently pour in the cream, and stir. Return the dish to the oven without the foil for another 10 minutes.

Serving

  • Give it a final stir, season with salt and pepper, and finish with fresh herbs and optional lemon zest or chili flakes.
  • Serve hot in bowls, preferably with crusty bread.

Notes

For best results, use high-quality feta and homemade or low-sodium broth. You can prepare the dish ahead of time, refrigerate and bake when ready.
