Ingredients

Crust

Matcha Swirl

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C).
  • Mix Oreo crumbs with melted butter and press into a greased 9-inch springform pan. Bake for 10 minutes and cool.
  • In a mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth, then add sugar, sour cream, and vanilla. Beat in eggs one at a time.
  • Fold in 2 tablespoons of matcha powder and crushed Oreos.
  • In a separate bowl, mix the remaining matcha powder, sugar, and hot water until smooth.

Baking

  • Pour the cheesecake filling over the crust, drizzle the matcha mixture on top, and swirl gently.
  • Bake for 60-70 minutes until the center jiggles slightly but is firm at the edges.
  • Turn off the oven and leave the cheesecake inside for 1 hour to cool.

Chilling & Decorating

  • Transfer the cake to the fridge for at least 4 hours, ideally overnight.
  • Remove from the springform pan and top with whipped cream, matcha powder, and Oreo cookies.

Notes

Use a springform pan for easy removal. Don’t skip cooling times. You can substitute Greek yogurt for sour cream for a healthier version.
