Ingredients

For the coating

Instructions

Preparation

  • Cut the mozzarella sticks into bite-sized pieces.
  • Set up three separate bowls: one with flour, another with beaten eggs mixed with milk, and a third with Italian bread crumbs.

Coating the Cheese

  • Roll a piece of mozzarella cheese in the flour until fully coated.
  • Dip it into the egg mixture, letting the excess drip off.
  • Roll in the breadcrumbs until fully covered, and for extra crunch, double dip in egg and breadcrumbs.

Freezing

  • Place the coated bites on a baking sheet and freeze for about 30 minutes.

Frying

  • Heat oil to 350°F (175°C) in a deep pan.
  • Fry the frozen bites in small batches for about 1–2 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Remove from oil and drain on paper towels.

Serving

  • Serve the bites hot for the best gooey experience.

Notes

For extra crunch, consider double dipping. Add spices to breadcrumbs to enhance flavor. Serve with dips like marinara or ranch.
