Instructions

Preparation

  • In a large bowl, beat the butter and granulated sugar together until light and fluffy, about 2 minutes.

  • Gradually add flour and salt, mixing until just combined. Fold in chopped cranberries and almonds.
  • Roll dough into a log about 2 inches wide, wrap in plastic wrap, and chill for at least 2 hours.

Baking

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Slice chilled dough into 1/4-inch thick rounds and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  • Bake for 12 to 14 minutes until edges are lightly golden. Cool on the pan for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Glazing (optional)
