Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare a 9-inch bundt pan or round cake pan by greasing and flouring it well to prevent sticking.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt. Whisk them together to ensure even distribution.
  • Pour in the melted butter and pineapple juice, followed by the eggs and vanilla extract. Mix everything until smooth and fully combined.
  • Pour the batter into your prepared pan, smoothing the top with a spatula. Bake in the preheated oven for about 40-45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.

Glaze Preparation

  • While the cake cools, prepare the glaze by whisking together the powdered sugar, pineapple juice, melted butter, and vanilla extract in a small bowl until smooth.
  • Generously drizzle the glaze over the cooled cake, allowing it to cascade down the sides.

Notes

Measure your flour correctly by spooning it into the measuring cup and leveling it off with a knife. For richer flavor, substitute half of the granulated sugar with brown sugar, or add crushed pineapple into the batter for extra texture.
