Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine chopped strawberries, melted butter, beaten egg, and vanilla extract. Stir until well mixed.
  • In another bowl, whisk together all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  • Gradually add dry ingredients to strawberry mixture, stirring gently until just combined.
  • If using, fold in white chocolate chips or chopped nuts.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan, spreading evenly.

Baking

  • Bake for 50-60 minutes and check for doneness with a toothpick.
  • Allow to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
