Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper and lightly grease it.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until well-combined.
  • Stir in the eggs, red food coloring, and vanilla extract until fully incorporated.

Cream Cheese Layer

  • In a separate bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with granulated sugar, egg yolk, and remaining vanilla extract until smooth.

Assembly

  • Pour 2/3 of the brownie batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
  • Dollop the cream cheese filling over this layer and spread carefully.
  • Use the remaining brownie batter to dollop over the cream cheese layer and swirl together with a knife.

Baking
