Preparation

  • Marinate the steak by mixing top sirloin with mirin, minced garlic, ginger paste, sesame oil, white pepper, and kosher salt in a bowl. Allow to sit for at least 30 minutes.

Cooking Vegetables

  • In a large pan, melt 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter with 1 tablespoon of sesame oil over medium heat.
  • Add the sliced carrots, zucchini, and mushrooms. Stir frequently for about 10-15 minutes until golden and tender.
  • Season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Set veggies aside.

Cooking Steak

  • Melt the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter and 1 tablespoon of sesame oil in the same pan over medium-high heat.
  • Add marinated steak and stir continuously for 3-4 minutes until seared and cooked through.
  • Add teriyaki sauce or BBQ sauce, tossing well to coat.

Serving

  • Plate the steak and vegetables nicely, serve with fried rice and drizzle Yum Yum Sauce. Enjoy your meal!

Notes

For enhanced tenderness, marinate the steak longer. You can also use a variety of vegetables for added color and flavors. Avoid overcrowding the pan to achieve a good sear.
