Ingredients

For the stuffing

  • 3 tbsp melted butter Adds richness and flavor.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced Enhances the seafood’s briny essence.
  • 1 tbsp fresh dill or thyme (optional) Herbaceous notes that complement the seafood beautifully.
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan (optional) Adds extra richness.
  • 1 each lemon, zest and juice Brightens the dish with citrus freshness.
  • Salt and pepper, to taste Simple seasonings that let the main ingredients shine.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the lump crab meat, chopped shrimp, panko breadcrumbs, melted butter, minced garlic, lemon zest, lemon juice, chopped parsley, and dill or thyme if using. Season with salt and pepper to taste and gently mix.
  • Place your salmon fillet on the prepared baking sheet and carefully slice lengthwise down the center to create a pocket.
  • Spoon the seafood mixture into the pocket, ensuring it’s evenly distributed.

Baking

  • Transfer the baking sheet to the preheated oven and bake for 20–25 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily and the topping is golden.
  • Once cooked, sprinkle with fresh herbs and serve with lemon wedges.

Notes

Use the freshest seafood you can find for the best flavor. Experiment with different herbs and toppings for variety. If you have leftovers, store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2-3 days.
