Instructions

Dough Preparation

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the warm water, sugar, and yeast. Allow this mixture to sit for 5–10 minutes until it becomes foamy.
  • Stir in the olive oil, salt, and flour. Mix thoroughly until a dough begins to form, then knead it for about 5–7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  • Cover the bowl with a clean cloth and place it in a warm location. Let it rise for about 60 minutes or until it has doubled in size.

Prepare the Pan

  • Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and grease a large sheet pan with olive oil.
  • After rising, punch the dough down to release any air bubbles and transfer it to the prepared pan, pressing it into the corners.
  • Allow the dough to rest for 10–15 minutes.

Assemble the Pizza

  • Spread the pizza sauce evenly over the surface of the dough.
  • Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella and cheddar cheese over the sauce, covering evenly.
  • Add the chopped green bell pepper, red onion, sliced olives, and sprinkle of dried oregano.
  • Add a pinch of red pepper flakes if you want extra heat.

Bake

  • Place the sheet pan in the preheated oven and bake for 18–22 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.

Serve

  • Allow the pizza to rest for about 5 minutes before cutting it into thick squares.
  • Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

For an even better rise, let the dough rise in a warm oven. Feel free to mix and match vegetables and cheeses per your preference.
