Ingredients

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Cut each pastry sheet into 3 equal rectangles, about 3x5 inches.
  • Place the rectangles on the prepared baking sheet and prick all over with a fork to prevent puffing.
  • Brush lightly with the beaten egg to achieve a golden color during baking.

Baking

  • Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until the pastry is puffed and a deep golden brown. Let cool before handling.
  • Dust lightly with powdered sugar for an elegant finish.

Mousse Preparation

  • Melt the chopped white chocolate using a double boiler or in short bursts in the microwave, stirring until smooth. Let cool slightly.
  • In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream with vanilla extract and powdered sugar until soft peaks form.
  • Fold the cooled white chocolate into the whipped cream until smooth and well combined, then chill for about 20 minutes to set the mousse.

Assembly

  • Assemble the dessert by placing one puff pastry layer on a serving plate.
  • Pipe or spread a layer of white chocolate mousse and top with sliced strawberries.
  • Repeat with two more layers, finishing with a final layer of mousse and topping it with more strawberries and optional white chocolate shavings.

Notes

For perfectly golden pastry, ensure your oven is fully preheated before placing the sheets inside. You can make this a day ahead and keep chilled until ready to serve. Consider topping with crushed nuts or coconut flakes for extra texture.
